Following the opening of the Windsor Farmers Market, our next class of 27 high school students wanted to build off of its success. Because Bertie County is sparsely populated with small towns located up to an hour from the county seat of Windsor, students wanted to install 100-square-foot farmstands for pop-up sales of fruits and vegetables. Located in and around the small town centers, the grey and green color scheme and iconic forms also became visual markers for the community.
